For some time now I've been reading web comics. My favorite is Earthsong. It is about a girl who wakes up in an unknown planet with no memories of her past. She then discovers that he is not the only one. Many others with no memory of their past but their very last moments before they awoke there meet her and tell her about Earhsong, the very soul of the planet they were on. Each one is of a different planet and a different species. The girl is named Willow and is leaded to Earthsong so the details could be shown to her. Like any other on that planet Willow has a soulstone forming within her, a stone that hides the power of her homeworld's soul. She was sent to Earthsong for her protection and losing her memories is just a side effect of her traveling there. However even if she seems no different than all the others before her Earthsong realizes that Willow is a new mystery, a different child than the others. I totally recomment this web comic to all those who love weird scenarios over planets and gods or those who want to find an explanation over myths and legends ;).
